Cause Of Camlachie Fire Believed Electrical

It's believed an electrical problem sparked a $350,000 house fire in Camlachie on the weekend although the exact cause remains unknown.

Chief Steve Clemens says Camlachie firefighters arrived on scene at 3945 Egremont Rd. at around 10am on Saturday.

"Thhomeownerer had seen smoke coming from the electrical panel area and promptly called 911," says Chief Clemens. "Upon our arrival, we had flames showing so we dispatched our second station from Wyoming to assist Camlachie. We were into a fully involved structure fire in just a few moments."

Chief Clemens says the single-detached century home was a write-off.

There were no injuries.
