OPP Stop Vehicle Twice In Five Hour Span

A traffic stop in Grand Bend on Friday evening resulted in drug and weapons charges being laid against an 18-year-old man.

Lambton OPP pulled a vehicle over for seatbelt violations at around 5:45pm, with five men from Windsor inside.

Dylan James Roberts is facing charges of possession of over 60 g of marijuana and having a dangerous weapon and prohibited device.

He is to appear at Sarnia Courthouse on July 23.

Other passengers were charged with failing to wear seatbelts and having open liquor.

Around 11pm, police stopped the same vehicle on Ontario St. in Grand Bend for erratic driving.

The driver provided a breath sample, which police say resulted in a "fail" reading requiring him to provide another sample at the OPP Detachment.

As a result, the driver allegedly blew nearly twice the legal limit.

He will appear at the Sarnia Courthouse on June 11.
