Public Helps Stop Impaired Driver

Lambton OPP are thanking the public for help in nabbing a suspected drunk driver around 2:45am Friday morning.

After receiving complaints from concerned motorists on Hwy. 402 westbound, police stopped a vehicle as it attempted to exit onto Indian Rd.

The 47-year-old male driver from Tecumseh was arrested for impaired driving, requiring him to provide a breath sample.

He's charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his blood and operating a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

He is to appear at the Sarnia Courthouse on June 11, 2018.
