Sarnia Boat Launch Reopening Permanently

Sarnia's new municipal boat launch is to reopen permanently this Wednesday afternoon.

In a news release from city hall Tuesday afternoon the city says parking lot paving is underway and is expected to be finished on Wednesday.

Line painting will be done at a later date and not require a separate closure.

Bridgeview Marina, the operator of the new boat ramps at Sarnia Bay, can be reached at 519-332-0533 for information about launch passes and permits.

Chief Administrative Officer Margaret Misek-Evans is thanking boaters for their patience during the lengthy project.

Many in the boating community were upset that the new launch was closed throughout the long Victoria Day weekend in preparation for paving.
