Legionnaires Sign Two Local Players

The Sarnia Legionnaires are adding to their roster for the upcoming GOJHL season.

The team has signed forwards Joe Ferrera and Logan Gardner from the Mooretown Flags of the PJHL.

Ferrera, a 17-year-old Sarnia native, scored six goals and added 11 helpers in his first season with the Flags. He scored a goal in two games with the Legionnaires this past season.

Gardner is a 16-year-old from Corunna who potted 14 goals and five helpers in his rookie campaign.

Ferrera and Gardner will be reunited with Jordan Pennesi who was the Flags head coach last season. He's taken on an assistant coach role with the Legionnaires for the coming year.

The team is expected to announce two more signings in the coming weeks.
