Shred It Day

The Sarnia Police Service is hosting its 13th annual Community Shred Event on Saturday 10am until 2pm in the Canadian Tire Parking area at Lambton Mall.

The goal is to protect residents from identity theft.

Constable John Sottosanti says this is for personal items only, including old bills and tax documents.

He says businesses documents and things like magazines, batteries and paints won't be taken.

Donations will be accepted for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics.
