Home Robbery Suspect In Custody

A 54-year-old city man wanted in connection with a targeted robbery at a residence on Wellington St. early last Tuesday morning, is in Sarnia police custody.

Lee Cory Martin is being held pending a bail hearing after being arrested without incident at around 11:30pm on Friday in the 300-block of Kathleen Ave.

He was wanted for robbery, break and enter, possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, and causing bodily harm by choking to overcome resistance in the commission of an offence.

Police say three people, including a man armed with a knife, forced their way into a home at around 3am on May 22.

They say the 27-year-old male homeowner was assaulted and ran to seek help. He was treated for minor injuries at hospital but never admitted.

Police say a safe was stolen from the home containing money, jewellery and personal documents.

One of two female suspects, Stephanie Crystal Robar, 34 years of age, was arrested on May 23 and faces charges of robbery and break and enter.

Police are still searching for an unidentified female.
