Sarnia Police Say Shred Event A Success

Sarnia police say 11,400 lbs of documents were disposed of during the 13th annual shred event on Saturday.

Police say 625 people took advantage of the service to help protect their identities and prevent fraud.

In addition, $1797.55 in donations was raised for the Torch Run for Special Olympics.

The Sarnia Police Service is thanking everyone who attended this year’s shred event and a big thank you to everyone who made a charitable donation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
