UPDATE: Air Quality Statement Ended For Region

Environment Canada says high levels of air pollution are no longer likely in Southwestern Ontario for Sunday.

A special air quality statement had been issued by the weather agency Sunday morning due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions were expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations in the area.

The statement was ended around 9:30pm Sunday.

Environment Canada says elevated pollution levels are no longer expected or have moved out of the area.

The region is under a separate special weather statement due to heat in the forecast on Monday and Monday night.
