Driver Charged With Impaired On Way To Work

Lambton OPP have arrested a man after police say he was driving impaired on his way to work.

Around 6pm Sunday, police stopped a 2009 Dodge Caravan that they say was being driven erratically in the Town of Petrolia.

The male driver allegedly pulled into his place of employment where he was taken into custody.

He's charged with impaired driving and having an open container of liquor.

He will appear in Sarnia court on July 12.

A 24-year-old Petrolia man is charged after being caught driving over 50km/h above the posted speed limit on Oil Heritage Rd. in Dawn-Euphemia Twp.

Lambton OPP stopped a 2009 Dodge Caliber on Monday. It's alleged the vehicle was travelling over 140 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

The driver is charged with racing a motor vehicle at excessive speed.

His licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded.

He will appear in Sarnia Traffic Court on July 12 to answer to the charge.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
