OPP Investigate Break-In At Watford School

Lambton OPP are asking for the public's help in their investigation of a break-in to Watford's East Lambton Elementary School and an attempted break-in at the Watford Community Centre.

Police say someone forcibly gained entry to the school and took several laptops and iPads sometime early Tuesday morning.

While investigating that incident, police say they discovered that someone had also tried to break into the Optimist concession stand at the community centre.

A utility room door and the concession window had been damaged.

Police say the items stolen from the school are crucial to student education, and they're disturbed that a generous community organization like the Optimist Club was targeted.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
