41st YMCA-CHOK Bridge Race Sunday

The 41st running of the YMCA-CHOK Bridge Race is set for Sunday morning.

The 10 km event gets underway at 8am in Port Huron and wraps up in Canatara Park.

CHOK Marketing Coordinator Aaron Zimmer expects about 400 runners to take part and says they're helping them beat the heat with a water station.

Warren, Michigan native Matt Fecht has won the race five times, including the past four years in a row.

There's also a 5 km race that gets underway at the Pt. Edward Casino at 8:20am.

Kids 12 and under are welcome to take part in the 1 km fun run which is scheduled for 9:30am at Canatara.
