UPDATE: Bodies Recovered In Port Huron Drownings

The bodies of two men have been recovered from the Black River in Port Huron following a tragic incident Wednesday.

St. Clair County Central Dispatch was called around 2:30pm about someone in the water near the I-94 bridge.

Shortly after, they got another call saying a man jumped from a pontoon boat while trying to save the other man, but also disappeared under the water.

The US Coast Guard and Port Huron Police Department both sent boats to the scene. No names have been released.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
