UPDATE: All Clear At College After Bomb Threat

Sarnia police say a bomb threat at Lambton College on Tuesday afternoon turned out to be fake.

Police were notified of the threat at 1:55pm, and officers blocked off London Rd. and Wellington St. near the college for about three hours as a precaution.

Lambton College evacuated students and closed its doors for the duration of the incident.

Sarnia fire crews were on standby at the former Sears parking lot.

Sarnia police Constable John Sottosanti says a thorough search found nothing.

"Officers continued their investigation by searching three buildings, namely the residence and surrounding structures," says Sottosanti. "They were unable to locate any sort of threatening device."

The roadway and college re-opened around 5pm. The source of the call is still under investigation.
