UPDATED: Dog Food Spills Onto Hwy. 402 In Crash

A 27-year-old truck driver from Edmonton is facing a careless driving charge after a crash between two tractor trailers on the Hwy. 402 approach to the Bluewater Bridge.

Lambton OPP say it happened around 10am Monday near the Christina St. overpass.

Police say trucks were waiting to pay the toll at the bridge, when a truck rear-ended another, causing several hundred pounds of dog food to be spilled onto the road.

The highway was reduced to one lane during the clean-up, but vehicles were moved to the shoulder and normal traffic resumed by noon.

No injuries have been reported.
