The weather agency issued the statement Sunday morning due to high levels of pollution that were expected to hit the area.
The report warned residents that the hot weather could cause an increase in the ground-level ozone concentrations and deteriorating air quality.
The statement was allowed to expire around 10:30pm Sunday.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
