Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust

Sarnia police say they seized over $4,000 of cocaine after stopping a suspended driver.

An officer with the COPPS Unit pulled over a vehicle travelling east on London Line at around 11:30pm Thursday.

From a prior incident, the officer had reason to believe the driver was suspended.

A 30-year-old London woman was arrested and a search of the vehicle allegedly turned up small packages of a white powder in a condom inside a Ziploc baggie. Police say, in total, there was 45 g of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,500.

Natasha Rossanne Smith is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
