Hamilton Fugitive Arrested In Sarnia

A man who fled from a Hamilton psychiatric hospital June 13, turned himself into Sarnia police one week later.

City police say 38-year-old Jason Murray showed up at Sarnia Police Headquarters at around 7:15am on Wednesday.

He's being turned over to Hamilton police and is to appear in court Thursday on a charge of escaping lawful custody.

Murray is an involuntary patient in the Forensic Program at Hamilton's St. Joseph's Hospital.
