Impaired Charges In Multi-Vehicle Crash

A man faces an impaired driving charge in a serious three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in St. Clair Township.

Lambton OPP say at around 4pm, a Hyundai Elantra travelling west on Courtright Line collided with an eastbound transport truck near Ladysmith Rd.

The car then hit a John Deere tractor, also travelling east.

Police say there were moderate injuries to those involved.

The driver of the car, 32-year-old St. Clair Township man, is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

He's scheduled to appear in Sarnia Court July 30 to answer to the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
