Nut-Filled Trailer Catches Fire

A nut-filled transport trailer burst into flames on Hwy. 402 early Thursday morning closing the eastbound lanes near Sexton Rd. Lambton OPP say the driver was able to remove the tractor from the burning trailer, which was hauling pecans, as it became fully engulfed. Police say it's believed the cause of the fire was due to mechanical issues and no injuries are reported. Warwick Fire and Rescue as well as the Kerwood Fire Department responded. The highway fully reopened to traffic by early afternoon.
