Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Warwick

Lambton OPP have identified the driver of a motorcycle that was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Warwick Township.

Police say it happened just before 9am on Egremont Rd. near Digby St. just outside of Warwick.

When police and EMS arrived, a man was lying in the ditch without vital signs and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The OPP say an investigation determined the driver of the motorcycle was travelling east on Egremont Rd. when he failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and collided with a hydro pole.

The driver has been identified as 21-year-old Wesley Ferguson from Warwick.

A post-mortem examination was scheduled for Monday.
