Stolen Bike Recovered

Sarnia police are once again reminding us to lock our garage doors and bicycles and never leave them unattended.

A bike worth $8,000 was reported stolen from an unlocked garage in the Michigan Ave./Rapids Parkway area back on June 16.

This past Saturday, June 30, at around 5:30am, an officer spotted a person on Lydia St. walking a bike that matched the description of the stolen two-wheeler.

Joshua Allen Spero, 32, is charged with breach of probation and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police say because of a detailed description of the bike, it was returned to its owner.

It's recommended all bike owners write down the serial number and take photos if possible.
