Wrecking Ball Takes Aim At College Residence (VIDEO)

The walls are coming down at an old Lambton College residence.

The north section of the north building at the school is being demolished to make way for green space.

Lambton College Director of Facilities Brent Thomas says it was time to get rid of the empty facility.

"We have a lengthy list of differed maintenance items in that building and it's really aged over the years, so it's in our best interest to remove it," he says.

Thomas says the remainder of the demolition should be complete by mid to late July.
