Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest Continues This Weekend

Gates open at noon Saturday for Day Three of the Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest at Centennial Park.

Six ribbers are grilling mouth-watering ribs.

Kids' activities will run until 2pm the six bands will take to the stage with one hour sets starting at three.

First up is Bentpath followed by Thumb Knuckle, the Gypsy Flats, Retrospect, Highway Jones and Chain Reaction.

Donations will be accepted at the gate and there will be a $5 cover charge after 6pm.

On Sunday music begins at 12;30pm with Borderline, the Stephanie Aiken Band, Lit'l Chicago and Freddie and the Distillers.

Admission Sunday is $5 for adults and free for kids.

Proceeds will help fund Kinsmen Club projects such as the Santa Claus and Canada Day parades, the Salvation Army and Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
