Sarnia Spaceman Gets Star

Sarnia's Chris Hadfield has gone from living among the stars to getting his own star on Canada's Walk of Fame.

The former astronaut is among ten inductees to be honoured December 1 in a ceremony in Toronto. Hadfield is the first Canadian to walk in space, the first Canadian spaceship commander, and a New York Times bestselling author. He is also a star on youtube and other social media outlets. Sarnia's Airport was renamed the Chris Hadfield Airport in 1997. Other inductees to this years Walk of Fame include London-area figure skaters and Olympic champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, actor-comedian Seth Rogen, and musician Leonard Cohen who will receive posthumous recognition with a star.
