Petrolia Burn Ban Lifted

Petrolia and North Enniskillen's fire chief has lifted a burn ban for the municipality.

The ban on open burns requiring permits was put in place last Thursday due to prolonged hot, dry conditions.

Chief Jay Arns says with the recent rain and the current forecast, burn permits will again be offered through the regular application process.

Fire officials are reminding residents to follow municipal bylaws for recreational burning and take the proper precautions with backyard bonfires.
