New Chief And Council At Kettle & Stony Point

A new chief and council are in place at the Chippewas of Kettle & Stony Point First Nation.

Jason Henry was elected chief in the August 3 election.

The nine councilors elected are Peter Cloud Sr., Elizabeth (Liz) Cloud, Larry (Vince) George, Lincoln Jackson, A. David Henry, Elizabeth (Liz) Stevens, Marshall George, Jane Manning, and Douglas (Al) Wolfe.

They will serve a two-year term.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
