High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A popular north Lambton Cottage and RV Resort is expanding.
Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities Vice President of Operations Lachlan MacLean says they'll be adding 105 sites to Our Ponderosa in Lambton Shores.
"It's a really popular destination." says MacLean. " There are lots of great amenities including swimming pools, a water slide, clubhouse, a driving range and a nine-hole golf course. It's close to the lake and that popularity has increased demand so we're trying to create more space so more people can enjoy the resort."
There are already 417 existing travel trailer sites at the resort on West Ipperwash Rd.
MacLean says they're continuing the environmental process to upgrade their current sewage system.
He hopes the new sites will be open for the 2020 season.
