Pilfered Purse Thief Sought

Sarnia police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who stole a purse from a home in the Mayfair Dr. and Queen Elizabeth school area last Thursday afternoon.

Police say someone removed a screen, climbed through an open window, and left through the front door, while a resident was in a different part of the home.

Witnesses say the suspect was about 6'0" tall, and has thin build with a darker skin tone. He was wearing dark pants, a dark green sweater and a dark-coloured backpack.

He ran to a bike at the end of a path near Hickory Dr. and Queen Elizabeth School, meeting a second person who was on a light blue bike, possibly with a woman's frame. That person had long hair and was wearing a neon green t-shirt and shorts.

The two later went on their separate ways.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
