Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. The weather agency issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Sarnia-Lambton just after 1pm. Storms with strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain are possible in advance of a cold front moving across southern Ontario. Watch for threatening conditions and take cover if necessary. We're reminded that lightning kills and injures Canadians every year, and we should go indoors when thunder roars.
