Imperials Advance To Championship Game

The Sarnia Imperials are off to the Northern Football Conference championship game for the second time in three years.

The visiting Imperials rolled over the Steel City Patriots 44-15 in Hamilton Saturday.

Sarnia led 17-0 at half-time.

Early in the third quarter the Patriots scored a touchdown to make the score 17-7 but following an interception the Imperials scored to take a 24-7 lead.

They added 20 more points for the convincing win.

In the other semifinal the undefeated GTA All Stars shut out the Ottawa Sooners 29-0.

The All Stars and Imperials meet in the championship game Saturday August 18 in Toronto.
