Sarnia Police To Honour Fallen Officers

Funeral services will be held Saturday in Fredericton, New Brunswick for two slain officers.

Thousands of emergency responders from across North America, are expected to attend the regimental funeral for Constable Robb Costello and Constable Sara Burns of Fredericton police.

Deputy Police Chief Owen Lockhart says the Sarnia Police Services will be represented.

"The Sarnia Police Service will be sending two officers to Fredericton for the service on Saturday," says Lockhart. "Sarnia police want to continue to support our brothers in this tragic incident that's happened and show our support."

Constables Costello and Burns were killed in the line of duty last Friday.

They were among four people killed in the shooting.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
