Historical Walking Tour Of Sarnia

You can take a tour through the history of Sarnia on Wednesday night.

The Heritage Committee created a walking tour in the city's downtown that explores some weird and interesting facts about Sarnia.

Simon Lacoste, a planning student with the Heritage Committee, is leading the tour.

He says the roughly 75-minute excursion showcases a haunted house, the greatest crime story you've ever heard, and some other shocking stories from Sarnia's past.

"I don't want to give too much away because I do want people to be a little bit surprised when they come in," he says. "But let's just say I am going to talk about some weird paranormal activity that happened at the Lawrence House and I'm also going to talk about some of the old businesses that used to take part in downtown."

The tour begins at the City Hall fountain at 6:30pm.

It's free, but Lacoste says they're accepting donations that go towards The Heritage Committee.
