Knights Rally For Win Over Sting

The London Knights doubled the Sarnia Sting 6-3 in front of 2,337 fans at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena in OHL preseason action.

The Sting led 2-0 after 20 minutes of play on goals by Calvin Martin and Adam Ruzicka.

The Knights responded with five straight goals in the second period before taking a 6-3 lead into the scoreless third.

Antonio Stranges, Luke Evangelista, Connor McMichael, Ryan Bangs, Matvey Guskov and Sahil Panwar scored for London.

Ryan McGregor scored his second goal in as many games to round out the Sting scoring.

Adam Hughes played the first two periods in goal for Sarnia allowing six goals on 28 shots.

Ethan Langevin allowed no goals on 12 shots in the third period.

Jordan Kooy stopped 30 of 33 shots for the Knights.

The Sting visit Windsor on Thursday September 13.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
