Shoplifters steal sunglasses in plain view

Sarnia police have released surveillance video of shoplifters at Lambton Mall stuffing sunglasses in their clothes and in their child's stroller.

It happened on Wednesday, August 8 at about 8pm at a Lambton Mall store.

Sarnia Cst. Nelson Amaral said they're appealing to the public to help identify the suspects.

"A young couple attended the store at Lambton Mall and selected varies styles of sunglasses which they tried on and then concealed," said Nelson. "They made no effort to pay for the sunglasses and shoplifted six pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses with a total value of over $1,500."

The woman is described as Indigenous in her late 20s to early 30s with long black hair. The male is also described as Indigenous and same approximate age with short black hair and a goatee.
