Stolen e-bike recovered

Sarnia police nabbed a suspect in a break and enter at a Mitton Street business Monday morning.

Police said just before 7 a.m., someone smashed the front window of the store and made off with an e-bike valued at over $2,000.

At around 9:30pm, an officer on patrol observed a man walking a bicycle that fit the description on London Line.

The officer matched the serial number to the one reported stolen and arrested the 28-year-old suspect.

He's been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of breaching his recognizance and five counts of breaching his probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
