Montreal man charged with racing on Hwy. 402

A 39-year-old Montreal man has been charged with racing after being caught travelling 160 kilometres per hour in a 100 km/h zone on Hwy. 402.

Lambton OPP stopped the vehicle around 9 p.m. Tuesday near Mandaumin Road in Plympton-Wyoming.

The man's driver's licence has been suspended, and his rental vehicle was seized for seven days.

He'll appear in provincial offences court on October 11.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
