Vehicles failing to stop for school buses

Sarnia police are already investigating two incidents where vehicles failed to stop for school buses.

Motorists are reminded they're required to stop for school buses with stop arms activated and lights flashing.

Failure to do so can result in a fine between $500 and $2,000 for a first offence, and six demerit points.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
