UPDATE: Sarnia man dies after being struck by car

A 31-year-old man who was struck by a car Saturday morning at around 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Christina and Maxwell streets has died.

A close family friend reported Sunday that Scott MacDonald of Sarnia suffered a severe head injury, and succumbed to his injuries Saturday afternoon at London's Victoria Hospital with his immediate family by his side.

Family members also posted news of the tragic death on social media.

Sarnia police confirmed Sunday that the pedestrian had died, but have not identified the individual.

The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
