Cyclist taken to hospital following collision

A male cyclist in his 40s was taken to London hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Sarnia's east end Tuesday.

Sarnia police responded to the collision between the cyclist and a vehicle at Blackwell Side Road and Blackwell Road around 11:37 a.m.

Cst. John Sottosanti said the intersection was closed for most of the day but re-opened around 5:30 p.m.

Anyone with further information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
