SUV driver charged in crash

The driver of an SUV involved in a crash last Friday with a motorcycle has been charged.

Sarnia police reported Wednesday that a 58-year-old woman is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield from a driveway.

The collision happened at around 9:30 a.m. on London Line near the Tim Hortons and Hiawatha Horse Park.

Police said it's believed the SUV was turning out of a private driveway to head west on London Line when it collided with the eastbound bike.

The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old man, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and is still in hospital.
