Sarnia and District Labour Council endorses candidates

The Sarnia and District Labour Council has endorsed a full slate of Sarnia candidates for the upcoming municipal election including incumbent Mayor Mike Bradley.

President Jason McMichael said their Political Action Committee sent out a short questionnaire to all 45 candidates, receiving 22 responses.

"They used the results from those questionnaires to make recommendations to the labour council delegates," said McMichael. "We do this in most elections, selecting a list of candidates we think are most reflective of the type of council that best represents workers in our community."

There are about 8,000 affiliated members of the Sarnia and District Labour Council and 17,000 unionized workers in Sarnia.

Endorsed for city council are David Waters, Michelle Parks, Bill Dennis, Meghan Reale, Eric Dalziel, Nathan Colquhoun, and Bryan Trothen.

Endorsed for city/county council are Norm Francoeur, Dave Boushy and Mike Stark.
