Death threat leads to drugs, weapons seizure

A 35-year-old Thedford man is facing numerous charges after police seized weapons, ammo and drugs from a Royal Street home.

Lambton OPP executed a search warrant at the residence on September 20, after receiving reports of a death threat a few days earlier.

The West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine, Crime Unit and Safe Streets Unit attended the scene.

Jesse James Brown is charged with three counts of possessing a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts each of possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing a firearm, and drug possession. He's also charged with uttering death threats, assault with a weapon, and pointing a firearm.

He will appear in Sarnia court September 26.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
