Maintenance in Chemical Valley

Imperial Oil has completed maintenance to its process equipment at the Sarnia manufacturing site.

In a message to Aamjiwnaang First Nation Emergency Planning, spokesperson Kristina Zimmer said the equipment is being restarted Monday.

She said following the start-up, they expect stack emissions to return to normal.

Maintenance is underway on process units at Suncor's Sarnia refinery.

The company reported Saturday on the Community Awareness and Emergency Response Line, that intermittent periods of visible flaring and increased noise would be noticed.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
