Brooke-Alvinston and Watford Fall Fair celebrates 142 years

The Brooke-Alvinston and Watford Fall Fair is on this weekend.

Friday's highlights include the pie auction and the tractor pull at 7 p.m. The midway opens at 4:30 p.m. and the PumpKing and PumpQueen will be announced at the official opening which gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday there is a parade at 11 a.m., a frog jumping competition and an Oreo cookie stacking contest with the dance at 9 p.m.

The demolition derby at 1 p.m. highlights Sunday's events.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
