Medical marijuana plant continues to grow

The High Park Farms medical marijuana facility in Enniskillen Township is welcoming a number of new workers.

The company recently held a job fair at Lambton College to fill a variety of different positions.

Chief Marketing Officer Adine Fabiani-Carter said they were very pleased with the high number of applicants.

"The job fair that we just had at Lambton College was incredibly successful in our perspective, and we're really happy to have the full support and interest of the community," she said. "We interviewed about 140 candidates and we're thrilled to say that we've extended more than 50 offers of employment."

Fabiani-Carter said High Park hasn't heard back from all applicants who were offered a job, but that the company will have the positions filled by the start of November.

The Lasalle Line facility was seeking packaging and farming technicians, production, manufacturing, maintenance, facilities support, and quality assurance technicians.

Fabiani-Carter said they plan on hiring more workers in the near future as the facility continues to expand.
