Elderly woman charged in Exmouth pedestrian crash

An 82-year-old Sarnia woman has been charged after a mother and daughter were struck by a car on Exmouth Street Monday morning.

It happened at around 8:30 a.m, when a 25-year-old woman was using the activated signalled crosswalk at Trillium Park, with her four-year-old daughter.

"The four-year-old was transported to London with serious injuries where she remains in stable condition," said Amaral. "The mother was transported to local hospital where she was treated and released with minor injuries."

Police have charged Anne Thompson with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
