Update: Parking problems continue at soggy Brigden Fair

There will be no public parking inside the Brigden Fairgrounds again Monday.

Julie Maw, vice-president of the fair board, said Sunday morning the fair would be open but the grounds were too wet for parking due to Saturday's rain.

She said in an email Monday morning that the grounds are damp and muddy in spots but gravel and concrete roadways are dry. Woodchips and gravel were put down yesterday and overnight.

Maw said fair-goers are encouraged to park in the village of Brigden and walk in through gates on Courtright Line and Brigden Road. The Open Light Horse and Mini Horse Show and the Speed Show have been cancelled this morning.

Environment Canada's forecast called for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 25 C, 77 F Monday.
