Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards winners

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce handed out its annual Business Achievement Awards Friday night at the Imperial Theatre.

NOVA Chemicals was named Business of the Year.

The Sarnia Community Foundation won in the non-profit category.

In the Agri-business category Podilinsky Farm Equipment took the top prize.

The Outstanding Customer Service-Business award went to Bluewater Hearing.

The Outstanding Customer Service-Individual award went to Dave Duguay of the Blackwater Coffee Company

The Exporter of the Year was AG Event Graphics.

Helen Lomax-Pathways and Transitions won the Inclusivity honours.

The Marketing and Promotions award went to PM Entertainment Group and Foundation.

There was a tie in Tech-novation category between Leadwave and the Corporation of the City of Sarnia.

The Business Leadership award was won by Judith Morris- Lambton College.

Liwordson Vijayabalan was named the Entrepreneur of the year.

The Social Responsibity award was won by Lambton College.

And Dave Watson of Goodwill was named the Member of the Year.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
