Update: City fire crews battle house fire

Sarnia Fire and Rescue Service responded to a house fire on Cameron Street at mid-morning Saturday.

Firefighters and police remained on scene well into the afternoon near Mitton Street.

The fire service reported in a tweet at noon that the blaze was under control.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue said the cause of the fire has been declared undetermined by the Fire Marshall because the house was structurally unfit to investigate.

The damage is described as a total loss.

There was no one in the vacant house at the time of the blaze.
